Relief arrives in Sendai

Jeff Chapman, Converge Worldwide missionary called me to report that two vans have gone ahead and their truck left later. They were slugging it through snow, and it is cold. They have also had to negotiate their trip as roads were closed due to new aftershocks, then reopened. He reports there were long lines for rationed gas but as they noticed they were relief workers they filled the truck up.

They have arrived in Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture at a CRASH related center at a church in Rifu. They have distributed food, diapers, gasoline, and kerosene. They are finished for the day and hope to get some rest. Jeff cannot locate his bag with his warm clothes. PRAY either he finds them or he stays warm. They hope to head up to Ishinomaki in Iwate Prefecture tomorrow and then head home. They are both very tired from driving all day. PRAY for real rest especially as they near their goal of distributing relief supplies in Ishinomaki. PRAY for wisdom as there are so many needs and they have only limited supplies.

If you are praying for Jeff please leave a comment below on this website. I read a few of them and he is very encouraged for your prayers for him and especially the people he is helping.
