CRASH Mobilizes Volunteers in Japan

Tokyo, Japan – March 14, 2011 – CRASH (Christian Relief, Assistance, Support, and Hope) volunteers in Tokyo are mobilizing to provide aid to victims of the magnitude 9.0 earthquake that struck the northeastern coast of Japan on Friday, March 11, 2011 at 2:46 PM. Rolling Power Blackouts

We found out tonight that the Prime Minister of Japan has made an announcement that throughout the Tokyo area there will be rolling electrical blackouts to prevent a total blackout throughout the region. We will be without power for three hours each day. Everyone will have power from 10pm to 6:20 am. REPORT ON CHURCHES I received a report from the Rengo that all of their churches, pastors, members, and members’ homes are fine. Of course the few churches in Iba1raki and Chiba need a bit of cleaning up from fallen items off shelves and a bit of broken glass.
