July Prayer Items

FOCUS ON PRAYER

  1. Thanks for your prayers for patience and wisdom regarding the upended schedule issues this year. Finally the decisions were made to have a Japan Church Multiplication National Round Table meeting in Japan at the end of August in Osaka. And then we have a Leaders’ Summit of our South Asian partners in Bangkok, Thailand in September. Because of the delay, it looks like we’re going to be joined by other partners, which will make the event even more significant. We are well underway at planning those events. Please continue to intercede before God for all those involved and the preparation for those meetings.
  2. Thanks for praying for our neighbor David who passed away and John conducted his funeral in May. God has been comforting the family, and we just heard a couple days ago that the house was sold and so we’ll have new neighbors across the street in just a few weeks. Pray for our new neighbors and our connection with them.
  3. If all goes well, we hope to have the last lesson of Sonship spiritual mentoring in Japanese completed this Sunday. Then we have to move on to the next phases of developing a pathway to mentor many other Japanese in this curriculum. John will be in Japan in August and have discussions with the key leaders there about the next steps. Continue to ask God to bless this big project.
  4. We thank God for His guidance and wisdom regarding some decisions made about Elaine’s brother who is in a nursing home where he is very content.
  5. Continue to pray for our coaching and mentoring of leaders from various places as well as our teaching and writing ministries that are ongoing.
