Focus on South Asia

Just this week, Phu Pham and John met online for planning with two key leaders we will see for a Strategy Summit early next month. In just a short amount of time, just 3-4 years, our team and a South Asian group have built remarkable partnerships and trusting relationships for collaboration. Just following the unbelievable story of the collaboration this story is just at its beginning (see the article on the Converge website “From Headhunters to Soul Hunters”). Already there have been phenomenal changes and forward movement as this group has deployed three teams of new missionaries to work in an unreached area. This group already is working among 14 Unreached People Groups (UPGs) within 2 days road trip of their region. We believe there are many more UPGs within easy reach geographically and culturally. One team hopes to saturate an entire unreached island with churches in just 15 years. In one year, they have already planted 8-9 churches of about 10-15 in size and had many believers’ baptisms. In this unique region of Asia along with shifting challenges are amazing ministry opportunities. God is opening up opportunities and we wonder in faith where God is taking us. We will be meeting with these leaders again Back in Bangkok in early August (more next time). Please pray for all the preparations for these important meetings.
