John and Elaine are assigned to work with the National Mission Department (NMD) primarily in the Tokyo District and also cooperate nationally with other ministries. Their prime role is to better equip and empower Japanese for evangelism, the growth of the church, and new church planting multiplication. The prime organizational structure for this is in the Rengo LEAD teams. There is a model LEAD Team in Tokyo which in early 2008 will probably scatter into three Church Planting Networks. Pray for these developments.
