Women In Ministry Retreat – Mid March 2008
The Japan Evangelical Missionary Association (JEMA) Women in Ministry (WIM) commission has an annual retreat which touches missionaries from all over the country.
They are open to people coming as short-term workers to help them with their conference. Elaine serves on the WIM commission.
The main speaker is coming from Faith Baptist Church in Grayslake.
Help support these key women by serving their children and/or bring ladies who in some special way (massage therapy, manicure, counseling, etc) can minister to and pamper missionary women.
Purpose: Either make the missionary women, pampered and special or take pressure off of people to prepare and run the retreat.
Preferably women’s team.
1. Conduct workshops at the retreat. Qualified workshop teachers.
2. If a beautician would come either to consult or cut hair.
3. Massage therapist, physical therapist, etc.
4. Worship ministry – import a worship team (small is ok)
5. Small group leaders – pressure is off missionaries to lead groups. Speaker comes up with the questions. People with small group leadership experience.
